Tallinnassa shoppailua

Kiireisten aikojen jälkeen töissä lepo on tehnyt terää. Onneksi viimeinkin on hieman vapaapäiviä aikaa rentoutua ja saada kaikki rästihommat vihdoin kuntoon. Jokavuotinen Halloween koristelu odottaa jo nurkan takana! Samalla kun laitan siitä postia kuvaan muutenkin vähän lähiseutua ja tätä uutta kotoani. Paljon on vielä tehtävä jotta sen saa kuntoon mutta toivon kipiniä näkyy jo ettei se niin kauaa enää kestäisi. Rentoutua ehdin eilenkin kun kävin kaverini kanssa Tallinnassa päiväshoppailulla. Innostuin ehkä liiaksikin sillä en siellä kovin usein käy ja tuli vähän googlattua missä kaikissa paikoissa haluaisin käydä. Tiesin että ehdottomasti sushille haluaisin ja koska kaverinikin on sushin ystävä ei ollut kovin vaikeaa myydä hänelle ideaa sushipaikasta.. eikä ravintolan erikoinen teemakaan ollut hänelle ongelma. Ei ainakaan ennenkuin pääsimme paikalle asti, heh..

It has been somewhat busy weeks, I have been looking forward for some rest. Finally I got freetime from work and some time to do all the things that had been waiting around. Like my yearly Halloween decorating-time! Very much looking forward for it. I will post something of it when I get everything organized and will post some pictures of my new home aswell, even if its not totally finished yet.
I was happy to go for a little trip to Estonia, Tallinn, just few hours with a boat over sea from Helsinki just yesterday for some shopping with my friend. I was probably lil too exited, googling about places where Id wish to visit once we'd get there. I knew Id want to have some sushi as my friend liked it aswell and found this cute resteurant over the net and managed to sell the idea for him too, even when he wasnt so exited about the theme, heh.

Sushi Cat'iin pääsee helposti kävelemällä suoraa tietä Viru-hotellilta poispäin keskustasta. Ystäväni epäili hieman kartanlukutaitojani mutta pääsimme perille oikein näppärästi. Paikalle päästyämme paikka oli paljon pienempi kuin mitä olin netistä löytämieni kuvien perusteella olettanut ja pikkuisen mua nolottikin sillä tunsin oloni yhtäkkiä todella vanhaksi. Vähän aikaa paikallani istuttuani kuitenkin tykästyin tunnelmaan enemmän. Tarjoilijoilla oli kaikilla kissankorvat sekä animeaiheiset uniformut, seinillä oli rutkasti animekuvia ja luettavaksikin löytyi cosplay-lehtiä. Telkkarista tuli valitettavasti tavallista poppia J-popin sijasta, se olisi sopinut tunnelmaan paremmin.

Ruoka oli kohtuu hintaista, ostimme jaettavaksi kaksi annosta + juomat ja hintaa tuli noin 24e yhteensä. Ruoan laatu oli ihan ok, parempaa kuin market sushi mutta ei päässyt parhaimpien syömieni sushien listalle. Lohipalojen alla oli wasabia mistä en pidä ja riisi maistui oudon puuromaiselle molempien ruokailijoiden mielestä. Lisäksi soijakastike maistui mauttomalta ja vetelältä vaikka pullossa lukikin Kikkoman. Kuitenkin voisin suositella paikkaa teeman ystäville. Hinnatkin varsin edullisia. Kannattaa kuitenkin tuoda ainakin omat soijat mukanaan.

You can reach Sushi-cat quite easily by walking straight road from Viru-hotel, away from the town center. My friend was little worried about how I read the map but we found the place really easily. When we arrived finally to our destination, on first look I noticed the place was alot smaller than I had tought. I also felt really old when I looked around, it took some time before I felt comfortable but once I got used to the athmosphere I liked it more. The waiters where dressed by the theme and there were pictures of Anime girls around the place aswell as some cosplay magazines for people to read. Unfortunately the tv showed pop music videos instead of J-pop that would have suited the place better.

Food was reasonable priced, we shared two portions and bought drinks and the price was only around 24e. The quality was allright, better than Id buy on local markets but not on the list of best sushis Ive had. There was wasabi under the salmon wich I dont like and the rice was like porridge in my mind aswell as my friends. Also the soy-sauce was very watery, even when the bottle said Kikkoman. I would still recommend the place for friends of the theme. The pricing was good aswell. I would still advice to bring your own soy-sauce with you.


Ostoksia Tallinnasta:

Jotta juttu ei menisi rafla-arvostelu blogiksi niin seuraavaksi kuvia ostoksistani. Pääsin raidaamaan paikallisen Expressions-korukaupan joita ei enää Suomesta löydy, onnekseni siellä oli myös alet käynnissä. Lisäksi löysin H&M'ltä hauskan kissalaukun joka lähti mukaan heräteostoksena. Lisäksi tuli tietty ostettua vähän ruokaa ja pari breezeriä. Erityisesti halvat kakut ja leivokset olivat mieleeni ja niitä lähtikin pari mukaani..mm hyviä ovat.

And then some pictures of the things I bought, so this woudnt turn out as some food-blog. I went to raid the local Expressions- jewerly shop wich they dont anymore have in Finland. I was lucky to find alot of nice sale-items from there. I also bought a cute cat bag from H&M wich I dont know will I use but..yeah. Bought it anyway. Ofcourse I bought some food aswell and couple of breezers. I went blind for the cheap cakes they had there and bought a few, very tasty!
